Chevy Chase: people of all ages find him amusing
Comedian and actor Chevy Chase, who was recently declared 'funniest man in history' by the Bush administration, has become so desperate for money that he has been forced to sell his own neck on ebay.
The neck, which appeared with Chase in some of his most memorable roles, was subject to a week of intense bidding, reaching a final price of $2,500,000. The winning bidder was Jens Burgholt, a Chevy Chase fan from Germany. "I've been an admirer of Chevy Chase for as long as I can remember," he told us. " So when the opportunity arose to own part of his body I jumped at the chance."
The fact that Chase would even consider selling his neck has caused many to speculate that the alleged funnyman may well be on the verge of bankruptcy. "It's pretty obvious," says self appointed celebrity expert and possible wanker Seamus O'Hitler. "I mean, the last big thing Chevy Chase did was an Iranian beer commercial." Despite this, Chase has firmly denied such claims. "I get lots of offers," he told an interviewer from Spatchcock magazine. "Only last week I was asked to play Eddie Murphy in a movie of his life. The week before that, Clint Eastwood offered to personally blow me if I'd star in his next movie. This whole selling off of body parts thing has been blown out of proportion. It's not like I'm the only one who's doing it. Last year Mel Gibson sold his chin to Bill Gates, and I've heard that Drew Barrymore is auctioning off four of her six nipples."
